The Citi Group team

As a third-generation Electrical Engineer, Nick began his career as an apprentice. Now with almost 30 years of experience in the industry, he brings his knowledge of all aspects of electrical engineering to his role as Citi Group’s Founder and Managing Director. Outside of work, he enjoys socialising with friends and spending time with his family.

Since joining the Citi Group team in 2013, when he was half-way through his Electrical Installations apprenticeship, Matthew has gained a great deal of experience working on various projects across a range of sectors. Now serving as our Operations Director, Matthew is involved in running jobs, mainly for our commercial clients, and overseeing our teams on site. Outside of work, Matthew enjoys hitting the greens to play golf.

Following her role as an Account Controller and Administration Manager with Kirklees council, Sophie has gained a large amount of experience working on behalf of some major companies. In her current role as Commercial Manager, she has a lot of involvement with our clients, taking care of accounts, making sure the business runs smoothly, and helping with the continual development of the business.

Having joined the Citi Group team in 2019 from her role as an Admissions Clerk with The Mid Yorkshire Hospitals NHS Trust, which she held for over twenty years, Lynn has a strong background in customer care and is now involved with managing the company’s finances. Outside of work, Lynn enjoys socialising with friends, spending time with her family, and reading.

Having worked as an electrician for almost 20 years, James has experience in completing projects across all service areas, including for domestic, commercial and industrial clients. As a fully qualified CompEx engineer, James is now involved with managing electrical projects in hazardous environments, ensuring all installations are completed safely and conducting inspections to ensure the work is of the highest quality. James takes pride in being a family man, and enjoys watching his son play football on the weekends.

Having entered the industry at the age of 16, Daniel has years of technical experience, and has been involved with projects all over the world. Now largely involved with the ATEX side of the business, Daniel has progressed into a managerial role and oversees our EC&I services. When not in the office or on site, Daniel enjoys playing cricket and spending time with his family.

Ian has been working at Citi Group for over 6 years, a key member of our team, bringing his knowledge and experience into vital parts of our everyday operations. Ian recently has been promoted to Senior Supervisor in 2023 due to his commitment and outstanding dedication to the company. Involved in some of our most demanding jobs Ian consistently rises to the challenge ensuring Citi Group and its staff are working and maintaining the highest standards for the company and its clients.

Having worked in the electrical engineering sector for over 25 years, Mark joined our team in 2019 from a management position, bringing with him extensive experience in electrical design and estimating. Mark is committed to providing our customers with reliable advice and the best possible service, and when he isn’t out estimating or designing projects, you’ll find him travelling with his family in their beloved camper van.

After starting out in the industry as an apprentice in 2010, Daniel joined the Citi Group team in 2020 following his role as an Electrical Maintenance Engineer, with experience in testing, commissioning, installing and repairing high-spec machinery, as well as designing and installing control systems. In his current role, he focuses on the industrial side of the business, managing ATEX, CompEx, EC&I and controls projects. Outside of work, Daniel enjoys spending time with his family and playing golf.

Over the years, Chris has occupied various positions at management level in a range of industries, including retail, construction and distribution. Chris moved into health and safety almost 20 years ago, and now provides high-level health and safety consultancy and support, occupational and environmental management support, auditing services, and compliance and training/assessment at operative management, and senior management levels as part of the Citi Group team, for clients in a number of sectors across the UK.

Lisa joined the Citi Group team in 2022 from her role as a Manager for Littlewoods-Shop Direct, which she held for 18 years. With a strong background in Management and customer care, Lisa looks after the office's day-to-day running. Outside of work, Lisa enjoys family life and walking with her Dogs.

Kirk comes to Citi Group with a great pedigree within EC&I and CompEx, previously working for a well established company in all aspects of Electrical Engineering. Kirk brings to Citi his vast knowledge of ATEX and EC&I systems, and being qualified in both CompEx 01-04 and 05-06 makes Kirk a vital part of our Atex team and strengthens our electrical engineering arm dramatically, ensuring we give our clients the best product .

Elliott has proved himself again and again at Citi Group, able to adapt to any scenarios. Elliott has proved he is a very capable Electrical Engineer and is a firm favourite of our customer's and client's due to his positive and professional approach to problem solving, and installation and maintenance scenarios within the workplace. Elliott currently sits on a maintenance contract with our most valued customer for a major chemical company.
Elliot is also the current Citi Group “Man of Steel 2023” for his continued hard work and dedication to the company and our clients.
