Electrical equipment must be properly maintained by employers and building managers, and the best way to accomplish this is through periodic testing, including Portable Appliance Testing (PAT) and Fixed Wire Testing, among others. This is mandated in the Electricity at Work Regulations 1989.
During PAT testing, each portable electrical device is inspected for safety defects and tested for functionality. Fixed Wire Testing, on the other hand, inspects the fitted electrical systems within your building, ensuring they are safe to use and comply with legal standards.
What equipment requires compliance testing services?
