Overview of Citi Group and there working relationship with DRL
We have been working with Citi Group for the past few years and they have consistently proven themselves to be a reliable, knowledgeable, and highly competent electrical contractor.
Most recently, Citi Group have acted as the main electrical contractor on a pharmaceutical production plant expansion project. Throughout this project, they demonstrated a clear understanding of GMP requirements and the controls necessary when working within a live, regulated manufacturing environment.
They responded positively to very last‑minute changes and challenging requests without issue – nothing was ever considered a problem.
Despite the pace and demanding nature of the project, they consistently met programme deadlines and supported the tough schedules required to deliver the expansion successfully.
Their scope of works included installation and modification of MCCs, power distribution, control cabling, and instrumentation support, all delivered to a very high standard.
They also demonstrated strong competence working within ATEX‑rated areas, ensuring compliant equipment selection, installation practices, and robust supporting documentation in line with site standards and regulatory expectations.
We have recently adopted a new ATEX inspection process using ATEX‑rated tablets and online inspection software. Citi Group embraced this new method immediately, picking it up without hesitation and integrating it seamlessly into their workflow.
This proactive approach ensured inspections were carried out efficiently, accurately, and in full alignment with our updated compliance processes.
Beyond project work, Citi Group regularly supports us with day‑to‑day electrical issues across the site.
They have a highly competent in‑house electrical design team who have been instrumental in helping us work through remedial actions arising from Fixed Wire Inspection and Testing.
Their knowledge of current regulations, design requirements, and compliance standards has allowed us to remain fully compliant without placing additional burden on our internal resources.
By managing the technical interpretation of regulations and producing compliant, practical designs, they have taken a significant amount of stress away from us as the client.
This has consistently left us feeling confident that we are in safe and capable hands.
All testing, inspection, and certification activities are always completed thoroughly, with documentation presented to a high standard and suitable for validation, audit, and ongoing compliance.
